Applicant safety

Stay safe during your job search

Learn how to recognise suspicious messages, protect your information and confirm that a contact is genuine.

Jobs Kerala communicates through your dashboard and official office contacts. Always verify unexpected messages with our team.

Warning signs of recruitment fraud

  • Anyone asking you to act urgently to “confirm” an interview or job offer.
  • Requests for OTPs, passwords, banking credentials or identity documents over chat.
  • Offer letters sent from free email addresses or messaging apps only.
  • Pressure to decide within minutes, or to share OTPs, bank details or Aadhaar copies.
  • Promises of a guaranteed job, an overseas visa, or a "sure" government posting.
  • Job offers for roles you never applied for, with unusually high salary claims.

How we actually contact you

  • Through your dashboard on this portal, and by phone or email from our office numbers.
  • Interview details always appear in your candidate dashboard for you to confirm.
  • We never ask for OTPs, passwords, bank credentials or card details.

If you suspect fraud

  • Stop all further communication with the sender.
  • Save screenshots, phone numbers and any documents received.
  • Report it to us on our contact page so we can warn other candidates.
  • Report cybercrime to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) or call the national helpline 1930. You may also file a complaint at your local police station.

Protecting your data

Share documents only through your dashboard. Never send Aadhaar, PAN or bank details to a "recruiter" over WhatsApp. If an employer contacts you directly claiming to be from our panel, confirm with our office first.
